In case it’s not immediately apparent, yes, this is a song about coping with the unanimously terrible year 2020 and the uncertain future we’re all facing every single day.
I never planned on it being the first song I released into the wild, but it came naturally, right out of my inner monologue—thoughts and lines I’ve been singing to myself just to get through the day.
It was cathartic and therapeutic to make, and I hope it resonates with you, too.
And if by chance it does, let’s pour another round and watch the world burn itself into the ground.
